You May find a bargain at Orinoco
Well it feels more like November, but it is actually May, and Orinoco still has a bunch of unwanted items to help you with your next creative project.
CURRENTLY IN STOCK
Nice books from Imago, most of them in English; blank books; large (generally at least 3 x 4m) PVC advertising banners – ideal for use as groundsheets/floor coverings or for making shelters; a few larger pieces of reddish brown carpet; underlay; tarpaulin and canvas offcuts of various sizes and in various colours; computer headsets with built-in microphone (just 1 pound each); headsets without microphone (50p each); foam offcuts; lots of fabric, fur and leather scraps; old CDs; large cardboard boxes; lots of electrical cables and power adapters; door handles and hinges; hanging files; a couple of nice kitchen chairs; lots of plastic 20-litre jerrycans – useful to store all this rain; and lots of other stuff too numerous to mention. If you’re interested in something specific, it may be best to call us at the store on 01865-761113 to make sure we’ve still got it.
WANTED – JAM JARS AND LIDS
Our friends at 3rd Headington Brownies are fundraising for Children with Leukemia, and for this challenge they need the rather odd request of clean jars (with lids) – or just the lids – of all shapes and sizes. So, instead of putting yours into your recycling bin over the next month, could you please hang onto them and bring them with you next time you come to the Scrapstore. Many thanks.
SWAP SHOPS
As usual, there are swap shops nearby on the first, second and third Saturday of the month, as follows:
Barton Neighbourhood Centre, 5th May from 11am to 1pm
Orinoco/Bullingdon Community Centre, 12th May from 11am to 1pm
Gladstone Road, Headington Quarry, 19th May from 11am to 12pm.
That’s all for now.
Keep dry,
Orinoco
