Get Involved
Volunteers play a vital role in making sure that Orinoco runs well. There
are many ways to get involved in Orinoco depending on your time, interests,
and your future goals. We need managers, we need shopkeepers, we need van
drivers. We provide training and work experience.
Management
We are currently looking for the following positions:
-
Treasurer. We will provide free training which can be put on
a CV. The software does most of the work, so don’t be put off! For those who
“don’t do” figures: you will now!
-
Secretary. We need someone who can take minutes and provide
support to the Committee. All you need to know is how to write.
-
Fundraiser. This is a dynamic post involving meeting with
people, making presentations, and “selling us”. There are the forms to be filled
in, but there help.
-
Key Grip. At the end of the movies, you see this title on the
credits. This is the person supports everyone, making sure everything is working
fine. You would help with the database, mailings, shots, and publications.
-
Trustees. We need YOU, our customers and friends, to help us
set strategy, think about the big picture, and assess how we are doing.
To see what management has done for the local community, see
our
impacts.
Volunteer
We need a number of volunteers to do things like:
-
Store Front. You will be involved
in working directly in the store.
-
Special Events. Dealing with
special events, you will help with refreshments and socialising.
-
Back Office. You will help with a number of key areas such as
web design, marketing, finance, and new project development.

leaflet or get in touch.
