Orinoco Membership
You do not have to be a member to shop at the Orinoco Scrapstore, we are
open to all. However, members receive benefits such as: free scrap offers,
50% discounts on most items of scrap, discounts on new items in the ArtShop,
reduced prices for training sessions, regular stock updates and invitations
to special events and training days.
There are three classes of membership: Individual, Group and
Institutional. Membership runs from twelve months from receipt of payment.
The notes below will help you decide which membership class is best for you
/ your organisation.
Individual Membership [£10]
When you join you receive five bags of free scrap. Individual members
have a single vote at General Meetings. Individual membership is not
transferable. If you are shopping on behalf of an organisation (school,
club, playgroup, etc.) you are free to do so as an individual member.
However, if you wish other people to be able to shop on your / the
organisation's behalf we would prefer it if you would join as a Group rather
than pass a single membership card around.
Group Membership [£30]
When you join you receive five bags of free scrap. Representatives of
Group members have three votes at General Meetings which they may cast on
behalf of their group. Group members receive five membership cards. One card
bears the name of the nominated representative of the group, the remaining
four bear only the Group name and may be used by any member of the
organisation. Additional membership cards may be purchased for £5 each.
Institutional Membership [£200]
Institutional membership is a great way of supporting Orinoco and
providing additional benefits to all of your staff, volunteers and members.
Representatives of Institutional members have twenty votes at General
Meetings which they may cast on behalf of their organisation. All members of
your organisation receive Orinoco member status. Institutional membership is
limited to organisations with less than 1000 staff, volunteers & members.
Applications for Institutional membership are subject to approval by the
Orinoco Management committee.

post or online.
