[Orinoco] New stock now available in store (and other news)

New stock
There are a few pictures in the gallery entitled 'New Scrap 17th Feb 2010' on the Orinoco website - go to www.oxorinoco.org and click on the Gallery link at the top.
Old favourites that are back in stock but not in the gallery include netting (various sizes, mainly black but a couple of green), quite a lot of 'rip stop' kite fabric in various colours, and some nice big rolls of silver paper.
Please note that quantities are often limited, so we can't guarantee availability. If you don't want to waste a journey, call the store on 01865-761113 before setting out, but realistically we can't reserve items.

Paint
We've got a few BRAND NEW 5-litre tins of Farrow & Ball emulsion that arrived last week, on sale for just 5 pounds each.

Garden tools
After 3 or 4 months' absence, the garden tools bin has been reinstated at Redbridge, which means we should be picking a few up from time to time. It will probably be small numbers to begin with, but we hope to get enough to make it worth your while to drop in occasionally.

Theft
Unfortunately, somebody walked off with two small silver radio/boom boxes from the paint area of Orinoco on Saturday morning. Since one of them was plugged in, we don't think they were mistakenly thought to be part of the swap shop. If anyone has any information, we would be glad to hear it.

Volunteers
We can use more suitable volunteers to run outreach activities (workshops, events such as festivals etc.), so if you're interested in joining in, please let us know.

Spread the word
The more people come to Orinoco and buy our lovely scrap, the more we can stock, and the more stuff gets rescued from landfill, so please tell all your family, friends and work colleagues how great Orinoco is. They will undoubtedly thank you.
