Scrapmobile

If you would like to offer your members, clients or colleagues a Scrapstore experience in the comfort of your own venue you should consider booking a visit from the Amazing Scrapmobile…

The scrapmobile visits events, clubs, societies, companies and community groups with a wide selection of our fabulous art and play materials.

Please make our job of delivering the scrap as easy as possible by reserving a suitable parking space for our use. The Scrapmobile is 5 metres long, two metres wide and 2½ metres high. Fully loaded it weighs 3½ tonnes. In order to unload using our ramp we need a 10m long space on a suitable hard surface.

All our scrap is packed into crates which are then loaded into roll-cages and trundled into the van. Ideally, when we arrive we want to roll the cages off the van and straight into the venue.

The roll cages can be bumped up curbs and small single steps with care but can not negotiate flights of stairs. If your venue does not have ramped / level access and/or you can not reserve a parking / unloading space please let us know in advance so that we can discuss alternative arrangements.

When suitable parking and/or access is not available we can:

• unload the crates individually and carry them into your venue by hand (if you can supply sufficient numbers of volunteers to assist with this

• unload the crates and conduct an outdoor sale around the van (weather and space permitting)

• use the van as a mobile shop (this significantly limits the amount of scrap we can bring to the sale).
