Orinoco Update
August 21st 2008
Yes, Orinoco will be open on the Bank Holiday Saturday. Come along to the
store and grab some lovely things. Over the last fortnight we've done a huge
tidy at the store which has allowed us to bring out goodies that have
previously been held off-show. Howie has also been down to Swansea
scrapstore for a swap and has come back with a load of interesting new
things for us all to play with.

Loitering Within Tent
We have been running activities at more and more events over the last two
years. To help us provide a better service, we have now bought two wonderful
marquees. They had their first outing at the Pontardawe Folk Festival last
weekend and were severely tested by the Welsh weather. They performed
excellently and are ready for their next outing. They will be available for
hire to members when not in use at Orinoco. |

Scrapmobile Visits to Bicester Suspended
The monthly visits of the Scrapmobile to the Courtyard Youth Arts Centre
in Bicester have been beset with disaster all along. Since starting the
visits in March we have had to cancel half because of excuses ranging from 'Howie's
daughter has a pearl up her nose' to 'the van is stuck in floods in
Swindon'. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused but we have decided to
suspend all regular visits until our new van driver is in post. |
