Exeter Scrapswap
It's that time of year again. Over twenty scrap stores and re-use
resource centres met in Exeter's livestock market on Wednesday 18th February
for the biggest scrap swap of the year.
Glenys and Howie took the scrapmobile down crammed full of our surplus
materials and swapped our excess for the goodies other stores had brought
along.
The whole thing doesn't last long as you can see from the pictures. The
vans arrive and unload into a big pile. Every store is allowed two staff on
the floor to collect scrap and after an opportunity to view the goodies. A
whistle is blown at 11:30 to signal that grabbing can begin.
It's all over and everything is packed away within the hour. Time for
lunch. |
